Let's Talk About AI, Shall We...

AI is great, but let's shatter the glass first, AI is not your friend. To understand what I mean we need to define some things:

Artificial Intelligence comes in a few flavors, but it is not sentient, or concious. That would generally be considered AGI, or Artifical General Intelligence. If you are just a normal person, not a scientist or nerd like me, you have most likely interacted primarily with Generative AI. This type of AI is based on LLM's, or Large Language Models, and they simply predict the next word to present to you.

This is a very general depiction, and we will peel back this onion a little at a time to make it digestable to those of us who are not wanting the gritty details.
